The Fender Deluxe Active Jazz 5 String Bass V features an alder body with a maple neck in the Modern "C" shape available in black, candy apple red, vintage white, and brown sunburst and full of the after market modification that Fender made to the original five- string bass in this series. The bass feature 20 medium jumbo frets and Ping Cast/Sealed "Mini Tuner machine heads. Further, it features two dual-coil ceramic noiseless five- string jazz bass pickups with nickel plated pole pieces and chrome hardware that compliments the overall style of the bass.
